Senior Digital Officer

We are currently seeking a Senior Digital Officer to work with the Digital Manager to develop Shakespeare’s Globe online presence and strategy, and to create and edit online content.

Working closely with the Digital team and across all areas of the organisation, the successful candidate will implement the digital strategy for Shakespeare’s Globe – including the website, relevant microsites, email and social media, ensuring consistency and quality across all areas.

In addition to knowledge and experience of CMS, HTML and social media, the post requires someone with working knowledge of design software and audio-visual technology, alongside the ability to manage external suppliers and an excellent eye for detail.

Project Cataloguing Archivist; Shakespeare's Globe Institutional Archive

Shakespeare's Globe is seeking an experienced Project Cataloguing Archivist to work on The Globe's institutional archive which charts our development through Sam Wanamaker's vision in the 1970's through to the construction of the Globe in 1997.  

Our institutional archive also charts the major role the Education Department has taken in terms of exhibitions and innovative educational projects to provide a living contect for the work of Shakespeare and his comtemporaries as well as other administrative records of the organisation.

The succesful applicant will be cataloguing archives using CALM for archives software. Working to agreed timescales, they will assist with planning to keep project targets and report progress.  With a professional qualification in archives management, the successful applicant will also have good IT skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Personal Assistant to the Director, Globe Education

Shakespeare's Globe is seeking a Personal Assistant to the Director, Globe Education to provide him with secretarial and administrative support. The successful candidate should ideally have prior PA experience working at Director level.
