Globe to Globe Festival Ambassadors Wanted 

From April - June 2012, Shakespeare’s Globe is bringing theatre companies from around the world to perform all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays, in 37 different languages, as part of our unique Globe to Globe festival.

We are recruiting volunteers to help spread the word about this event so if you want to help others see your language performed on the Globe stage, and be part of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration for the London 2012 festival read on.

 

We are looking for people who speak one of these languages…

Juba Arabic, Maori, Shona, Swahili 


What does the role include? 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Stimulating positive word of mouth and promoting the festival to colleagues,
    social networks, friends, family etc.

  • Suggesting new places for distributing flyers and posters. 

 

  • Suggesting media and community contacts.

 

  • Distributing some promotional materials– both flyers and posters, and emails/e-flyers.

 

  • Securing bookings from individual guests or groups.

  •  2 free tickets to the show of the language you are promoting. 

 

  • A special event before the start of the festival which would include a tour of the theatre and the opportunity to meet and socialize with both other ambassadors and the Globe to Globe festival team. 

 

  • Monthly ambassadors newsletter.

 

  • Marketing experience and the opportunity to enhance your CV.

 

  • The chance to be part of a completely unique festival, and to make a difference to not only the festival, but a specific community’s relationship and involvement with the Globe.
