Stewarding

All the stewards at Shakespeare's Globe are volunteers, and every performance requires a minimum of 40.

Applications for the 2013 season have now closed.  Please check back later in the year for further Stewarding opportunities.

Shakespeare's Globe on Tour:
Stewards needed for Henry VI Battlefield performances

We are looking for volunteers to help steward our performances of Henry VI on battlefields around the country.

Locations

Towton battlefields site - Sunday 14 July

Tewkesbury (The performance site is situated in the open land behind the council offices, postcode: GL20 5TT) - Sunday 4 August

St Albans Cathedral Grounds - Sunday 11 August

Barnet Monken Hadley Common - Saturday 24 August

Details

Stewards will be needed from 10.00am – 10.30pm.
However if you can only make part of the day we would still love to hear from you. Just let us know your availability when you email us.

All stewards will work in pairs so that it will always be possible to have a break without abandoning any post.

These pairs will rotate around the site so that everyone gets to do a bit of everything. Duties include manning the audience area.

Each pair has at least one scheduled ‘off-duty’ period, during which time you are welcome to watch the show.

Stewards will be provided with a tabard/t-shirt to identify them.

Tea, coffee and food will be provided via the caterers on site.

To apply

If you are interested in volunteering please email Tamsin Palmer, including the subject line: ‘Battlefields Volunteer’. Please state which battlefield(s) you wish to volunteer at.
