Having appeared as part of the Sam Wanamaker Festival during his drama school days, Luke returns to the Globe for his first production on the stage.
"There's a moment in the play in which I get changed on the stage and it's over at one side and I get into a pair of hot pants! And what I usually hear is a few laughs and titters. There were a couple of old ladies down by where I got changed. And as I pulled my trousers down, I just heard one of them go, "Oh, no thank you!""
As rehearsals begin for Eyam and performances continue for The Winter's Tale, Luke shares what he's learned from performing the space, including dealing with expected and unexpected audience reactions.
"I think we've all been taught to know that you don't have to shout. The space is acoustically almost perfect, even when there's those dreaded planes that come over top. I had one today, my first experience of doing a scene..."
