Jessie Buckley makes her Globe debut as Miranda in The Tempest.

"You step out there and you see 1500 people and you feel like a rock star." In her final interview, Jessie talks about her first performance in The Tempest, as well as how audience reactions have effected her performance.
“It has that freedom element, which Miranda has in her.” Jessie describes her seaweed-like costume and how it influences and enhances her interpretation of the character. She also talks about the technical rehearsal process and aspects of the performance that are still proving to be challenging.
"It's been a crucial layer to the creation of the play." Jessie describes the important role that music plays in the production and further discusses the strengths that she finds in Miranda.
"There's a lot of similarities with her [Miranda] and Queen Elizabeth I." Jessie talks about the dominant presence of men in the play and how this affects her character as well as her choices in rehearsals so far.
"I've never performed professionally with a piece of Shakespeare, so it's really exciting to do".
