Written by: William Shakespeare
Michael Gould returned for his second Theatre Season at the Globe, playing Edmund in the 2001 production of King Lear. He appeared in the Globe's first Theatre Season as Leontes in The Winters Tale.
This is Michael's final blog post. This week he reflects how he feels at the end of the run, the changes he has made to the performance while the run has continued, and he looks ahead to taking King Lear to Japan.
In his penultimate blog post, Michael discusses how the re-rehearsals have changed the run and the audience's reaction to Edmund, as well as his reflections on how Edmund relates to the other characters and the audience.
In his seventh blog post, Michael discusses the process of re-rehearsing the play, the exercises performed to keep the play fresh and what changes to the play and his character have emerged.
