“Certainly Petruchio’s relationship to Kate, and his relationship to himself, I think changes throughout the play an awful lot. You see lots of very different Petruchios.”
In her last interview Leah talks about the opening night at the Globe, her favourite moment in the play, and how the play and her character develops as performances continue.

Rehearsal 2

“And it’s a relationship that, for my money could have worked if Petruchio had enough faculties to engage with her in a different level. Because all that he understands is patriarchy, is dominance, and is oppression, she is destroyed by it.”

“I’m working out on what level the ending affects Petruchio…and he realises that he has in fact broken this spirit that he needed to possess.”
