In the power struggle following Julius Caesar's death, the great warrior and champion of Rome, Antony, becomes the irrational betrayer of his Roman honour, deserting his wife and making war on Octavius Caesar.

Is his love for the reckless and intoxicating Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, foolishly human or transcendent and redemptive?

This production was played in recreated clothing of the period, exploring original playing practices with an all male cast and live music played on early instruments.
