SYNOPSIS

Othello, general of the Venetian army, has married Desdemona, whose father is appalled that hisdaughter has married a Moor. Othello, renowned for his military prowess, is too valuable to Veniceto be reprimanded and takes Desdemona on his mission to Cyprus, where Iago’s bitter plottingparts fool from money, officer from office and husband from wife.
