A Digital Networking Event for the Cultural Industries
Interface is a networking event for digital artists, designers and developers based in the Bristol region to meet with the UK's top culture brands. This year the event took place at the Bristol Old Vic on 12 May.
We understand that big cultural companies are not always able to create the fresh, agile work their audiences want without massive investment, while young ambitious companies are struggling to be seen by the ‘behemoths’ that could commission work and raise their profile. As such, we created Interface to provide a space for discovering talent and forging links to take these organisations forward in these exciting times.
We were delighted to be joined by such diverse cultural organisations in our shared hope of nurturing emerging talent.
The Cultural Industries were represented by:
- Channel 4
- London Philharmonic Orchestra
- National Theatre
- Penguin Books
- Royal Albert Hall
- Royal Court Theatre
- Shakespeare's Globe
With support from Regional Partners
The day included a bespoke networking session based on partners’ specialisms and what areas of work each they have indicated is of interest to them. This meant that people were matched based on skills and interests rather than digital suppliers selecting by organisation, and gives much greater relevance for companies to pitch to each other and make links.
