Conferences and symposia with Globe Education provide a forum for theatre historians, scholars, postgraduates and theatre artists to collaborate and share research.

Ranging from one to three days, leading academics present research and challenging theories relating to Shakespeare, the Globe Theatre and other related areas of interest. 

 

Intercultural Shakespeare Symposium 

Friday 18 & Saturday 19 May

A two day symposium on intercultural Shakespearean performance. This symposium will engage with the contemporary performance of Shakespeare in translation, Shakespearean adaptation and other Shakespeare influenced narratives and texts.

As part of this symposium, there will also be a seminar on 'Transnational' performance in the early modern period.

*On Friday the symposia will be followed by an evening reception.
*On Saturday there is an optional visit see a Globe to Globe production.
