IMMERSIVE ARTS FOR CHILDREN
This August we present a groundbreaking new Inspiration Day with Action for Children's Arts.
What is Immersive Art?
Discover how practitioners across art forms create exciting participative arts experiences. You will hear different techniques and approaches to combining text, movement, video, objects, sound, lights and visuals, for a ‘total experience’.
WHo should come?
This day is perfect for artists, venues or students interested in this exciting format. Join us to uncover what the genre can do for audiences and how you can create, programme or commission immersive works for children.
What will the day involve?
Following a keynote introduction to the genre, you will be treated to a morning performance of our award-winning immersive theatre piece for children and families, Muse of Fire.
The afternoon will comprise of various talks and discussions with a mix of industry experts taking place on the set of Muse of Fire. The day will conclude with networking drinks.
Topics covered on the day will include immersive practice in theatre, special needs audiences, festivals, multi-media, dance, circus, and poetry.
