The Taming of the Shrew
(I.i.10-11)
The Shakespeare's Globe Library and Archives support the work of Globe Research, while also serving outside scholars and bona-fide researchers. Please note that while we are very happy to advise researchers on resources available, we cannot undertake research on behalf of users.
The Library is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 5 pm and please note that we can only answer our phone or email during these hours. Facilities are extremely limited and access is therefore strictly by appointment, and limited to bona fide researchers and Friends of Shakespeare's Globe.
All users must bring a completed application form, together with proof of identification, on their first visit. This application form can be downloaded from the right. We also require external users to provide a letter of recommendation from their academic supervisor or publisher (an e-mail is acceptable). All users will be expected to abide by our terms and conditions.
In order to help us prepare for your visit, please contact the library by e-mail or letter at least a week in advance of any planned visit, providing details of your research interests and any special requirements:
