SOUTHWARK YOUTH THEATRE IS NOW RECRUITING FOR 2013
Respect, Support, Connect and Perform.
Globe Southwark Youth Theatre members are young people aged 10-25 who live, work or learn in Southwark. Under the expert guidance of Globe Education Practitioners they work on exciting projects to develop their self-esteem, teamwork and performance skills which deepen their understanding of themselves, each other and the wider Southwark Community.
Weekly practical workshops (every Saturday, term time only) take place in the state-of-the-art Sackler Studios. All activities are based on our four core values: Respect, Support, Connect and Perform. Term starts in October.

Term Two (Spring Term)
Shakespeare in Performance - practically learning techniques needed to perform on the Globe stage and the techniques needed to portray the story and characters on stage.
Term Three (Summer Term)
New Writing - taking part in a project looking at playwriting from the past 50 years which has been inspired by Shakespeare’s stories and playhouse, and expanding on the techniques learnt in the previous two terms to explore these texts.
