LIVELY ACTION STORYTELLING
Introduce your classes to Shakespeare’s most exciting tales with experienced Globe Education Practitioners.
Stories to capture their imaginations
We present interactive versions of Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, and The Winter's Tale. These encourage your pupils to explore Shakespeare’s enduring narratives not just as listeners, but as storytellers too. The first school to book in any session will have the option to choose the play presented.
Stories to inspire their learning
These sessions have been created to complement the requirements of the National Curriculum for Key stages 1 - 2. They can help your pupils deepen their understanding of the ways in which they can imagine and recreate stories.
Stories in an iconic setting
Our sessions at the Globe offer your pupils the chance to experience the beautiful surroundings of the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. If you would prefer a Storytelling session in your school, please click here.
Storytelling Study Days
In partnership with the British Library, we are offering a full day of Storytelling related activities on the following dates:
4 – 7 July
11 – 14 July
These Storytelling Study Days are a unique opportunity for pupils to visit both Shakespeare’s Globe and the British Library for a Shakespeare-filled day. Pupils will spend the morning at a storytelling session at the Globe, and then fill the afternoon with a workshop in the British Library’s Shakespeare in Ten Acts exhibition.
For more information please email us or telephone 0207 902 1433.
Please note that the Playhouse will not be candle-lit for these storytelling sessions. Max 120 students per performance.
