THE Taming of the shrew
Relaxed & Group Performance: The Taming of the Shrew
This performance will take place on Saturday 4 March, 2.00pm
For tickets to the Relaxed Perfomance please email us.
The relaxed performance is intended specifically to be sensitive to and accepting of audience members who may benefit from a more relaxed environment, such as those with autistic spectrum conditions, anyone with sensory and communication disorders or learning disabled people.
This means that there is a more casual-than-usual approach to front-of-house etiquette (even for the Globe!) . There is also a ‘visual story’ to guide audience members through their visit and to warn of potential triggers (or occasionally modifications may be made to certain elements of the performance).
This performance will enable attenders and their families, who may at times feel excluded from attending the theatre, to experience a first-rate performance in a welcoming environment.
We can also accommodate school groups at this performance by request.
We are keen to extend our links with families and organisations working with anyone affected by these issues. If you work for, or know of, an organisation for whom this would be relevant we would be delighted to hear from them. Please contact us via the Access Information Line (see below).
For more information on our Access performances, or to sign up to our Access mailing list, please contact the Access Information Line by email or telephone on 020 7902 1409 (10.00am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday).
