What our visitors say about the Elizabethan Experience:

‘We thoroughly enjoyed the Experience and were most grateful for the professional way in which everything was handled.  We will surely be back!’
Winnie Benford, Fetcham U3A (2013)

‘Our visit to the Elizabethan Experience at London’s Globe Theatre was made truly enjoyable by the attention to detail and obvious enthusiasm displayed by all the staff at the Globe. Our guide was a delight and could not have been more helpful. The visit started with a light hearted demonstration of the costumes used at the theatre and the relaxed yet informative style  set the tone for the rest of the tour. Even our refreshments exceeded expectations with homemade cookies and more tea and coffee than we could possibly drink.  Thank you Globe Theatre for providing a really educational tour made very enjoyable by your superb organisation.'
Mark Richards, Kings Hill & District U3A (2013)

‘We all had a really enjoyable time and thought everything was very well arranged.  A lot of our party said they would like to come along to a show at both The Rose and The Globe having seen the theatres. Please also thank our guide who was very knowledgeable about everything and made our visit really interesting.’
Kathryn King, Wanstead & Woodford U3A (2013)

Globe & Golden Hinde

Explore the Golden Hinde, a reconstruction of sir Francis Drake’s Tudor warship, which circumnavigated the world between 1577 and 1580. This fully-working ship was launched in 1973 and has since traversed the globe itself and sailed over 140,000 miles – many more than original ship! Included in your visit to the Globe Exhibition is an Elizabethan Dressing demonstration using clothes from the Globe Theatre wardrobe.
