Charlotte Cory is an artist, photographer, playwright, designer, historian and novelist.

Her pieces explore the pre-occupation with identity at a time when Darwinism and photography were new inventions. Cory's source material is the Victorian photographic calling card, this combined with an interest in taxidermy led to her unusual take on portraiture.
