The Winter’s Tale (Act IV, Scene 4)

Synopsis

A Concert for Winter is Shakespeare’s Globe’s free annual showcase which encourages residents of Southwark to perform a song, poem or dance on the stage in celebration of the past, present and future of the borough.

The theme for this year is ‘Journeys’ and we are working with a number of local Southwark nurseries, schools and community groups on performances that will commemorate the journeys that they, their families or others have made.

This year we will see performances from:

Spa School

K&O Nursery

Blackfriars Nightingales

The Dragon Café Singers

Charlotte Sharman Primary School

Charles Dickens Primary School

Mind and Soul Community Choir

MIA Dance Group

Globe Choir

Rutgers University Choir

Short or long, the songs, poems and performances tell the story of where we all go to and come from and why we journey. Please join us to celebrate our community!

Tickets are free and are available to book now. If you have any questions about the project, please contact Emma.W@shakespearesglobe.com
