A holly bower with Christmas decorations

24 | 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BY CLEMENT CLARKE MOORE.

      Globe Advent         24

Join Sophie Stone in a cosy corner of the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse this Christmas Eve as she performs ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore in British Sign Language (BSL).

One of the oldest and most popular Christmas poems, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas is a firm favourite to read or listen to as children (both young and old) eagerly await Christmas Day morning. This year it brings Globe Advent to a close for 2020. We hope we’ve managed to bring you all a daily dose of festive delights full of joy and hope during this extraordinary time. We wish you a very Merry Christmas, wherever you are in the world, and a bright and hopeful brand New Year.

CRACKER QUOTE

Animated image of a Robin with snow falling

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
