Shakespeare’s Globe is looking for a Director of Marketing & Communications, an Executive level post which seeks to strengthen the Globe’s reputation and financial strength nationally and internationally. Working closely with the Chief Executive and together with the Executive team, this will be achieved through the maintenance and development of our distinctive brand and the effective marketing and communication of the Globe’s physical and intellectual assets.
The Globe seeks an imaginative, strategic and inventive individual, who will work as part of the Globe’s Executive Team. You will appreciate how to motivate your teams and partners and how to draw and develop the talent around you, whilst also making a personal impact within a dynamic, creative and fast moving organisation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a marketing and sales leader of a consumer-focused, complex, multi-dimensional organisation with a growing turnover and a significant number of employees. They will demonstrate high level strategic planning and budgeting experience, be a proven leader, with excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. The ability to challenge and evaluate existing practices to improve impact and effectiveness, maximise value from existing resources, and identify opportunities to generate new and additional sources of income is an essential requirement of this post.
