The Library and Archives Manager develops a strategic vision and manages the smooth operations of the Globe’s Library, Archives and Special Collections, including line managing, supporting and developing the Archivist (Digital) and Archive Assistant/s.
This role is offered as part-time post over 4 days, but we are happy to discuss flexible working options, including job share arrangements. Due to the nature of the role, it must be worked onsite at London’s Bankside.
The successful candidate will have a recognised relevant qualification and experience of archiving a range of materials, as well as records management and/or information government. The right person will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels both internally and externally, have excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise while paying meticulous attention to detail. We are looking for someone adept at using the archive software management programme CALM and who has an awareness of the issues surrounding digitized and born digital records. We’d like you to have experience of managing or supervising people, with an ability to develop, lead and inspire.
