Donate a book this Christmas
As an education charity, we believe in the power of storytelling and reading but for many, buying a book is an unaffordable luxury. This is why we’re proud to partner with local charity HomeStart Southwark for the second year to give young children the opportunity to discover that magic for themselves this Christmas.
If you can, we are asking you to bring a book for a young child (0–5 years) when you attend a show or event at the Globe between 29 November and 16 December and leave it underneath our tree in the Main Foyer to be donated by HomeStart to families in need over the festive period.
HomeStart Southwark are a local charity that trains volunteers to provide emotional and practical support to families with children under the age of five who are experiencing a range of challenges. To find out more, or to volunteer with HomeStart, visit their website.
