‘I masquerade in make-up and feathers and I am applauded…’

Get ready for the arrival of The Black Flamingo! Poet, drag and spoken word artist Dean Atta takes you on a journey of self-expression, identity and self-acceptance. Enjoy a live performance of poems from Dean’s debut YA novel, told in verse, and discuss the power of embracing your own uniqueness and finding your inner strength. Because sometimes, we all need to take charge, to stand up wearing pink feathers and show ourselves to the world in bold colour.
