DEEP THROAT CHOIR.

We are delighted to welcome Deep Throat Choir for an intimate one-off concert in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.

Deep Throat Choir is an all-female singing collective founded in 2013. It is the product of a desire to strip music-making to the simple components of vocals and percussion, and the joyous experience of raising voices together to create something beautiful.

Formed by Luisa Gerstein, composer of the West End transfer of Emilia, the choir will offer a rousing, moving testimony to the power of women’s voices to close our week-long Women & Power festival.

About Deep Throat Choir

Deep Throat Choir released their debut album, Be Ok, on Bella Union Records in 2017, an album mostly compiled of arrangements of music and artists they love, followed by Murmurations in 2018, an experimental and collaborative album with Simian Mobile Disco. They are currently recording a third LP, which more than ever speaks to the collaborative nature of the group, with many voices contributing to the song writing process.
