Family Sword Fighting Demonstration

This event has now passed.

What’s the difference between a rapier and a smallsword? How often would you have seen a weapon in Shakespeare’s London? Did the fights on Shakespeare’s Stage look like the fights people saw on the mean streets of 16th century London?

Join the Globe Fight Team for a demonstration of Early Modern stage combat, learn about historical sword fighting, handle the weapons, and have your photo taken with the swords we use for our Exhibition fights (although only the professionals get to partake in the sword play)!
