The Poetry of Nature
with Joseph Coelho
“Poor Tom, that eats the swimming frog, the toad, the tadpole, the wall-newt, and the water.”
Nature and the seasons feature highly across Shakespeare’s plays adding colour to his language and insight to his characters.
In this session Joseph Coelho will read poems from his collection A Year of Nature Poems and challenge you to write your own poems about your own frog memories, to discover the legend of the warring starlings of Cork and to dip into a sonnet written in the Shakespearean style all about daffodils.
