Bring your study of Richard III, Shakespeare’s account of history’s defining narcissist, to life in this practical A-Level Study Boost day for people aged 16–18 who are currently studying the play or looking to broaden their knowledge of the canon ahead of university study. This is an in-person event hosted on-site at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Start your day with a peek inside the Globe Theatre and hear about the history of Shakespeare’s London and the theatrical world he created.
Then, in one of our rehearsal studios, jump into an interactive workshop led by a highly experienced education practitioner and explore the play’s language, characters and themes using a range of acting techniques and drama activities. You’ll develop key skills and a practical toolkit that you can carry forward into your study and exams.
You’ll complete your experience by watching a matinee performance of Richard III in the Globe itself.
Please note that these workshops are designed for young people aged 16 – 18 attending independently. Parents and guardians can enjoy the Globe’s food and drinks offer during the workshop, and book themselves tickets to the matinee performance of Richard III here.
