Shakespeare’s Globe and Dance Umbrella invite you to join a distinguished panel of experts, chaired by Globe CEO Stella Kanu, for a discussion on the role of Movement Director, as part of The Globe Talks series.

We will delve into conversations around movement direction, and how it differs from the role of the choreographer, demystifying the process. We’ll talk about how movement direction has evolved in recent years and how it is more in demand than ever. We will also explore how roles for movement directors have developed on film, television and commercial projects, and what the future of choreography and movement direction might look like. This event is part of The Globe Talks, a series of essential conversations exploring the work we do in relation to the world we live in.

This event is also part of the Dance Umbrella Festival 2024.

Dance Umbrella is London’s international dance festival, taking place every October across the capital and online.

This event will be live streamed and BSL interpreted.
