BIOGRAPHY
Giles Taylor

Giles has worked as a Shakespeare Consultant, as well as a verse, language and rhetoric specialist, for over fifteen years, on productions including The Tempest (Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park/Unicorn Theatre), Dido, Queen of Carthage (RSC), As You Like It (Leeds Playhouse), The Comedy of Errors (Manchester Royal Exchange), Pericles, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and Romeo and Juliet (Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park), Twelfth Night (Old Vic Tunnels, London) and Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare’s Globe on tour).
He also teaches and directs at various drama schools, as well as working with emerging directors on the Creatives’ Program at the Young Vic.
Giles is also an actor, whose credits include work at the RSC, the National Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre, Birmingham Rep and the West Yorkshire Playhouse, as well as in the West End and on Broadway.
His first book – Dramatic Adventures in Rhetoric – co-authored with director Philip Wilson, was published in 2015 by Oberon Books.
