It takes hundreds of hard-working, talented and passionate people to keep the doors of Shakespeare’s Globe open and without our community of Volunteer Stewards, this magical place could not exist. Throughout the year our dedicated team of volunteers act as the public face of Shakespeare’s Globe, welcoming our visitors to our beautiful theatre spaces for performances and events and ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Volunteering at the Globe is a great way to meet new people and learn new skills – no specialist knowledge of Shakespeare or theatre required! We usually open volunteer recruitment for the following Summer season during the Winter months, and will advertise any upcoming volunteer opportunities on this page.
“The best advice I can give to someone interested in volunteering is to give it a try! We are a friendly bunch so I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do. Please don’t think you need to be highly educated in the arts or in Shakespeare’s works. I am neither of these things. I just really enjoy the opportunity to be involved in theatre & making sure visitors have a wonderful time”
