We have a team of over 700 Volunteer Stewards who welcome our patrons to Shakespeare’s Globe.

It takes hundreds of hard-working, talented and passionate people to keep the doors of Shakespeare’s Globe open and without our community of Volunteer Stewards, this magical place could not exist. Our wonderful volunteers act as the public face of Shakespeare’s Globe and ensure that our patrons have an enjoyable experience where they feel safe and supported.

Applications for volunteering for our 2024 season are now closed but please check back for details of future volunteering opportunities. Read the Volunteer Steward role description to find out more about the role and how you can get involved.

“The best advice I can give to someone interested in volunteering is to give it a try! We are a friendly bunch so I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do. Please don’t think you need to be highly educated in the arts or in Shakespeare’s works. I am neither of these things. I just really enjoy the opportunity to be involved in theatre & making sure visitors have a wonderful time”
