BIOGRAPHY

Ramia El Agamy

Ramia has built her career around a conviction: that the future of business will be shaped by the stories we choose to tell, and by who gets to tell them.

An entrepreneur since 2008, she co-founded Tharawat Magazine at 23 and, with her family, grew it into a globally renowned title for family businesses and entrepreneurs. In 2014, she launched Women in Family Business in response to the lack of diversity in the family enterprise conversation, alongside her two sisters. As a podcast host, she has since interviewed hundreds of leaders across both of her shows. As CEO and Co-Founder of Orbis Terra Media, a global agency and publisher, she and her team help leaders and organisations be known on their own terms.

Alongside her role at Shakespeare’s Globe, Ramia joined the Board of Directors of Caran d’Ache, Switzerland, in 2024, and serves as strategic support to her family’s non-profit organisation, the Tharawat Family Business Forum, a network promoting the sustainability of family enterprises across the Middle East and North Africa. She holds an MSc in International Business and Management from Alliance Manchester Business School.
