Sam Beckett Jr. has had a varied and interesting career making theatre over the past 30 years. As Artistic Director of Purple Theatre CIC, Sam has written, directed and performed all over England. Sam also has a successful track record in managing theatres and currently runs the Century Theatre in Leicestershire. As a producer, Sam has worked with many amazing companies such as 1623 Theatre Company. and has a keen interest in Shakespeare’s place in modern society. When not in a theatre, Sam can be found in an academic setting researching and exploring theatre, and is proud to be called a true theatre geek.
