Facebook & Twitter Competition: Terms & Conditions  

Win a pair of groundling tickets to see one of the Globe’s summer 2020 shows in the Globe Theatre and a pre-theare dinner in Swan Restaurant: 

  • There are two prizes to be won
  • The prize consists of a pair of groundling tickets (Standing in the yard) to see either Romeo & Juliet, Twelfth Night, Antony & Cleopatra, Much Ado About Nothing, Metamorphoses, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It or The Tempest as part of our summer 2020 season in the Globe Theatre, London
  • Three course pre-theatre dinner for two in the Swan Restaurant, with a bottle of house wine
  • The winner will be contacted via social media no later than Monday 17 February 2020, 6pm

Please read these competition rules carefully. By entering this competition, you confirm that you have read these rules and agree to be bound by them:

  • Entry is open to UK entrants aged 18 and over, except for those not eligible to take part: employees or contractors of the promoters or immediate family members of employees or contractors of the promoters
  • There will be no charge for entering the competition
  • Only entries submitted between Friday 14 February 2020, 12noon (GMT) and Sunday 16 February 2020, 11.59pm (GMT) will be entered into the competition
  • No responsibility can be accepted by Shakespeare’s Globe for entries that are not received for any reason and incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified
  • All entries received after the closing date will automatically be disqualified
  • If you win the competition, we will notify you via your Facebook/Twitter account (using the details provided at entry). If we cannot contact you or you do not respond within 24 hours of being notified by Shakespeare’s Globe, we reserve the right to offer the prize to another competition entrant
  • As the tickets are subject to availability, we will ask for you to provide at least 4 performance times which you can attend. We will then check availability and try our best to book you in for 1 of the 4 performance times. If none of these are available, we will endeavour to ask you for another set of times you can make.
  • The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received
  • The prize is a pair of groundling (standing) tickets to see one of the shows as part of our summer 2020 season in the Globe Theatre, London, subject to availability
  • The prize is not exchangeable, transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winner (such as travel, accommodation, food & drink) are the responsibility of the winner
  • The pre-theatre dinner in the Swan Restaurant consists of two or three courses from their pre-theatre menu only, with a bottle of house wine. Any additional courses or drinks to be purchased by the winner
  • The winner has 12 months to redeem their voucher in the Swan Restaurant, and a reservation is required with a mention of the voucher when booking
  • Pre-theatre dinner is available Monday to Saturday only
  • Any information submitted with an entry will not be given to any other organisations apart from the promoters of the competition, Shakespeare’s Globe and Swan Bar and Restaurant. Your privacy will be protected
  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or Twitter. By participating you hereby release and hold harmless Facebook and Twitter from any and all liability associated with this promotion
  • The promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prize and cannot be held responsible for any terms or conditions imposed by the company providing the vouchers. To the extent permitted by law, the promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, direct or consequential loss) in connection with completing the survey or acceptance of the prize(s)
