Shakespeare's Globe

Relaxed Performances

  • Access/Relaxed/1

A relaxed performance is intended specifically to be sensitive to and accepting of audience members who may benefit from a more relaxed environment, including (but not limited to) those with autistic spectrum conditions, anyone with sensory and communication disorders or learning disabled people. This means that there is a more casual-than-usual approach to front-of-house etiquette and we ask audience members to be aware of people's needs to move or make involuntary noise.

Visual Stories to aid patrons familiarise themselves with the production will be available.  Familiarisation visits for those for whom new venues can cause anxiety are available under arrangement by contacting access@shakespearesglobe.com.

These shows are for anyone. Parents are welcome to bring small children, families should feel welcome to bring members living with dementia, and we encourage anyone who wishes to discuss their requirements further to contact us.
