Charlotte Vickers
Charlotte is a director who uses theatre to explore the worlds that we live in and the worlds we might create. Previous work at Shakespeare’s Globe includes Cymbeline (Assistant Director).
As Director, credits include: Autumn, based on the novel by Ali Smith (Park Theatre, North Wall Arts Centre); Andromeda (Camden People’s Theatre, Derby Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse).
As Assistant/Associate Director: Guess How Much I Love You? (Royal Court Theatre); Fox (Park Theatre); Sap (Roundabout/Soho Theatre/UK Tour); twenty-eight (Theatre503); Yellowfin (Southwark Playhouse).
Charlotte was selected for the inaugural Royal Court Theatre Assistant Directors Pool in 2026 and was a New Associate at New Perspectives Theatre Company in 2023-24. She trained as a resident on the North Wall Arts Lab and completed an ACE-funded DYCP on wellbeing in theatre in 2023. From 2021-24, she worked as the resident director on Dr Hailey Bachrach’s Leverhulme Trust funded Shakespeare and Consent project, and recently completed her MA in Gender and Sexuality studies at Birkbeck.
