Dr Gwilym Jones
Gwilym Jones is Senior Lecturer in English at the University of Westminster. He has published widely in Shakespeare studies, in particular in the areas of ecocriticism and theatre history. His book Shakespeare’s Storms won the Globe Book award in 2016. He is currently editing Locrine for the complete works of Robert Greene.
‘Dreaming in the Dark: the meaning of night in Elizabethan England’. This session looks at how early playing companies stage night; the differences between night and darkness; and what both night and dark connote to the original audience of the play.
