Joe Hill-Gibbins

Joe Hill-Gibbins is a British theatre and opera director.
Joe was previously Deputy Artistic Director of the Young Vic Theatre, London where his productions included A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Measure for Measure, The Changeling, The Glass Menagerie, The Beauty Queen of Leenane and A Respectable Wedding.
He directing work has been seen in other London theatres including the National Theatre (Absolute Hell, Edward II); the Almeida Theatre (Little Revolution, The Tragedy Of King Richard The Second); and the Royal Court, where he began his professional career (The Village Bike, The Girlfriend Experience).
He has directed theatre internationally, including Summerfolk for the Residenz Munich and Mary Page Marlow for Theater Basel.
His opera work includes The Marriage Of Figaro, Powder Her Face (English National Opera); and Greek (Edinburgh International Festival and Brooklyn Academy Of Music).
