Nadeem Islam

Nadeem Islam is an actor, theatre-maker, and writer based in London. He trained at the BRIT School and has since built a varied career across theatre, film, and television.

His recent stage work includes a work-in-progress of his original play The Only Brown Deaf Man in England, in which he plays the role of Rajkumar. The piece is currently in development for future production.

Nadeem’s theatre credits include: The Father and the Assassin (National Theatre); Antigone (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre); Oliver Twist (Ramps on the Moon); Iron Man and Blasted (RADA/Graeae); Horrible Histories: The Dreadful Deaf (Birmingham Stage Company/Deafinitely Theatre); Moonbird (Handprint/Edinburgh Fringe Festival); Treasure Island (Derby Theatre); and Up ’n’ Under (Fingersmiths).

His television credits include See Hear: On Tour (BBC); The Bay (ITV); Magic Hands (CBeebies); Then Barbara Met Alan (BBC/Netflix), and Here/Not Here (LumoTV/TogetherTV).

He recently appointed as an associate artist of Fuse Theatre.
