Pearce Quigley

Pearce has just wrapped the lead on Mackenzie Crook’s (The Detectorists) new show Small Prophets for the BBC. He concurrently shot Season 2 The Gentlemen (Netflix), directed by Guy Ritchie. Other recent work includes Show Trial for the BBC and The Bank Of Dave, 2 (Netflix). His previous work at Shakespeare’s Globe includes The Merry Wives of Windsor, As You Like It, Doctor Faustus and Hamlet.

He is perhaps best known for playing Russell in the BAFTA Award-winning BBC comedy The Detectorists, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook. In a career spanning 30 years, on screen he has worked with leading directors Mike Leigh, Danny Boyle, Peter Weir, Clint Eastwood, Woody Allen and Terence Davies, and on stage he has worked with Ian Rickson, Simon Godwin, James Macdonald, Matthew Dunster, Howard Davies, Max Stafford-Clark and Stephen Daldry and many others.
