Experience the soaring poetry of Shakespeare’s words within the majesty of London’s famous Westminster Abbey as Shakespeare in the Abbey returns for six performances only.
During this very special promenade event, where you are invited to wander the Abbey, you’ll encounter beautiful and unexpected worlds as actors bring to life extracts from some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, speeches and sonnets. Consider the sinner or the hapless lover, behold a great monarch or bide awhile with a lone and prayerful soul as you explore the iconic and sacred space.
Originally conceived by Mark Rylance in 2017, this year Shakespeare in the Abbey is realised in collaboration with Intermission Youth, a charity helping to positively transform the lives of young people, and is directed by Intermission Youth’s Artistic Director Darren Raymond.
‘One of the most moving celebrations of Shakespeare I’ve experienced’
