Take our unique A Midsummer Night’s Dream Guided Tour of the Globe Theatre this Summer 2023 and discover more about Shakespeare’s intoxicating comedy.
Inside the wooden ‘O’, you’ll be introduced to the plot and characters of the play by our expert guides before delving into its history and themes.
Learn about the changing role of fairies in culture through the centuries; what they meant to Shakespeare’s audiences and contemporaries; and how modern versions of fairies are different – and far less menacing – than those from 15th and 16th Century worlds.
You might even catch a glimpse of the company preparing for the next performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
You don’t need to have booked to see the show to take a tour, but it would complement attending a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream perfectly. The tour is timed so you can comfortably enjoy it before the show.
