Creating Othello
Join two pioneering creative minds, Ola Ince and Iqbal Khan, in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse as they reveal how they approached Creating Othello in the context of Britain today.
Ola Ince’s 2024 Sam Wanamaker Playhouse production of Othello (‘intimate and profound’ ★★★★ Evening Standard) was set in the modern-day MET police, whilst Iqbal Khan‘s groundbreaking production (‘compellingly fresh’ ★★★★ The Stage) was the first RSC production to cast a Black actor as Iago.
Join them as they discuss these journeys and their creative processes in taking on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy, hosted by Globe Director of Education, Professor Farah Karim-Cooper.
