Research in Action: University Drama in the Age of Shakespeare
Join us in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for Research in Action: University Drama in the Age of Shakespeare. We’ll explore the connections between student drama and the professional stage, and examine how early modern universities staged speech-based disability in their Latin plays.
This event is part of our Research in Action series, where actors – with scripts in hand – perform scenes from early modern plays to explore a research question. The workshop is generously supported by the Judith E. Wilson Fund, Faculty of English, University of Cambridge.
Whether you’re a researcher, student, or curious theatregoer, join us in the candlelit Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for an evening of collaborative discovery.
This event includes historical representations of disability, including feigned disability.
