Celebrate the talents of the next generation of actors with our unique collaboration between Shakespeare’s Globe and the  Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Jersey. Rutgers Acting students will stage their workshop performance of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus in the Globe Theatre.

After 10 years of battle and bloodshed, war has left Rome cautious, suspicious and revengeful.

The enemy feels closer. Not in the trophies and victims of those savaged by conflict, but in the faces of those who are meant to serve and protect.

When the threat is no longer foreign, but domestic, raging at our doors – fear becomes knowing, friends become devils, faith becomes tyranny.

Cory Hippolyte directs Rutgers students in Shakespeare’s probing revenge tragedy.

Then all too late I bring this fatal writ,
The complot of this timeless tragedy,
And wonder greatly that man’s face can fold
In pleasing smiles such murderous tyranny.

— Act 2, Scene III

This workshop performance is open to all and gives audiences a great opportunity to experience the Globe Theatre and celebrate new artists. This remarkable group of BFA actors have been training at the Globe for six months of their fourth year. Join us as we celebrate the end of their training in London in true Shakespearean style.
