Telling Tales with Chris Riddell & Ana Sampson
Inside the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, we conjure up knights, dragons, giants and more with bestselling author and anthologist Ana Sampson and former Children’s Laureate, award-winning illustrator Chris Riddell. Part of our new family event series Telling Tales.
In celebration of their spellbinding new book, Heroes and Villains, Ana and Chris introduce us to some of the legends and legendary folk that it features including medieval King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, Kubla Khan, Joan of Arc, the Queen of Sheba, and Mulan.
Plus, watch some of Chris’s illustrations come to life before your eyes as he live-draws throughout the event!
You’ll also hear how Ana and Chris found their ways into writing, illustrating and curating poetry, and have the chance to ask them your questions in a Q&A session.

Terms and conditions
A £2.50 transaction fee per order applies online and over the telephone. A ticket is required for everyone attending over 3 years. Under 3s do not require a ticket if they do not require their own seat. Child and adult tickets are the same price. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
