Bring ideas to the page with author Shelina Janmohamed, as we explore the world around us, and how each of our lives and experiences make us all unique! Part of our family event series Telling Tales.
Drawing on her own approaches to writing, Shelina will encourage you as a family to start exploring the shape of your unique experiences to unearth the most fascinating story of all – your own!
Children and adults will work together to collect words, find feelings, make a title, and discover why stories matter through this interactive workshop.
Shelina is the author of books including Story of Now: Why We Need to Talk About the British Empire, exploring the far-reaching impact of the British Empire through young people’s lives then and now, and The Extraordinary Life of Serena Williams, profiling the challenges a female champion overcame.
