Join this Continuing Professional Development session to enhance your classroom teaching of Shakespeare’s epic tragedy Macbeth at Key Stage 4.
This is a hybrid event – choose to attend in-person at Shakespeare’s Globe, London or online via Zoom.
Aimed at Secondary English and Drama teachers, it will offer exciting techniques to engage with Shakespeare through active and creative approaches in the classroom. It provides teachers with a range of exciting activities to share with students to deepen their understanding of the play’s characters, context, themes and imagery, and develop their critical thinking skills.

The in-person experience includes a 30 minute tour of the Globe Theatre followed by a 2 hours 30 minutes practical workshop hosted in one of our rehearsal studios.
Please note, in person participants will be on camera throughout the workshop and will be visible to participants joining online.

How to join: You will receive joining instructions, including a link to the Zoom meeting, by email a day before the event. Please ensure you have a reliable internet connection and are able to join a Zoom meeting.
The online experience includes a 15 minute introduction to the format followed by a 2 hours 30 minutes practical workshop streamed live from one of our rehearsal studios. There will be opportunities for participants to interact with each other and the Globe practitioner in the studio space.
Please note, online participants will be visible throughout to other online participants and those joining in person. No recording or photography is permitted and our staff retain the right to terminate any participant’s connection to the Zoom meeting if our Ticketing terms and Community guidelines are not followed.
