Join us in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for Play On Shakespeare, a creative and collaborative look at the relevance and resonances between Shakespeare’s plays and their contemporary interpretations.
In partnership with Play On Shakespeare, a major translation project launched by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, professional actors and writers will share scenes and speeches from Shakespeare’s works in modern translation. What do we learn about the plays by putting the English of then and now in conversation?
Part of our ongoing Research in Action series which gives audiences a chance to be part of the Globe’s exploration of early modern and contemporary performance culture.
Expect discoveries – and expect to be asked for your feedback.
