‘Round about the cauldron go;
In the magic creatures throw…’

They’re back… and Olivier nominees! Our ‘wildly entertaining’ ★★★★ (The Stage) family show Rough Magic, Olivier-nominated for Best Family Show 2025, returns to cast its spell in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe this summer…

‘Magical joy… An absolute treat of a show’ ★★★★★ Broadway World

Join us in the world of Shakespeare’s magical characters as Macbeth’s wonderfully wayward Weird Sisters cook up a supernaturally silly adventure of their own.

‘A delight… Bewitches young audiences’ The Guardian

The Globe’s Director of Education Lucy Cuthbertson (Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: Romeo and Juliet, 2024; Midsummer Mechanicals, 2022-23) and Splendid Productions’ Kerry Frampton and Ben Hales (Midsummer Mechanicals, 2022-23) join forces once again to bring you this magical summertime treat for all ages.

The Weird Sisters need all the help they can get from their audience of supernatural apprentices (that’s you!) and invite you to come along to the show dressed as your favourite magical creature. Fairies, witches, ghosts, or monsters – wherever you belong!

‘By the pricking of my thumbs, something SILLY this way comes…’

– Macbeth, Act IV, scene 1 (kind of…)

A co-production with Splendid Productions, Rough Magic is recommended for everyone from age 5 to 105.
